Recorded in 2002 2004, by David Whitmer. This album presents music of the Garifuna, descendants from stranded African slaves and the native Arawak-Carib Amerindian population. This is the root music and forerunner of "Punta Rock". Forty-page colour booklet with photos, historical notes plus extensive info about the music, its styles, rituals and dances.
