The Pride of Murray Pipe Band was formed in 1952 in West London, mainly from ex-service men returning to civilian life. The name of the band comes from the founder, Pilot Officer Murray, whose pride it was when he formed it originally as an Air Cadet pipe band. Today the Pride of Murray comprises two full pipe bands and a school for young pipers and drummers.
